REDEVELOPING TRACY VILLAGE SPORT PRECINCT

A re-elected Albanese Labor Government will put $3 million towards redeveloping the Tracy Village Sport Precinct.

This election commitment will help provide a permanent home ground for the Hellenic Athletic Club.

This will include dedicated football facilities, upgrades to the playing fields and lighting, and the creation of a masterplan to facilitate further redevelopment.

Over coming years, stages two and three of the redevelopment will include upgrades for other sports, such as cricket, Aussie Rules, netball, and basketball.

The Tracy Village Sports Precinct was first created as a venue for workers carrying out the clean-up and rebuilding of Darwin following Cyclone Tracy.

Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in line with Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.

Quotes attributable to Federal Member for Solomon Luke Gosling MP:

“We know that sport brings the community together, and this election commitment will be a gamechanger for our local teams.

“These upgraded facilities will benefit most of the major sporting clubs in Darwin’s northern suburbs.

“A re-elected Albanese Labor Government will deliver for sports teams and players in Solomon.”
