A newly renovated science laboratory at Palmerston Christian School has been officially opened by the Member for Solomon Luke Gosling.
Mr Gosling said work on the development project was delivered with support of Australian Government funding of $260,000 through the Capital Grants Program.
“A lot of work has gone into this project, which has delivered the refurbished classrooms and a new science lab, as well as the demolition of old demountables,” Mr Gosling said.
“These new facilities will provide school staff, teachers and students at Palmerston Christian School with better, more modern spaces in which to work, teach and learn.
“The Australian Government is committed to providing all schools with appropriate funding so that all students get the best possible education.”
Mr Gosling said the new facilities would benefit the students currently at the school, as well as the many students who will follow in future years.
“The teachers, staff and students at Palmerston Christian School have built a strong and positive school community and these new facilities will further enhance our local educational opportunities,” Mr Gosling said.
“Our Government strongly believes in providing the best possible resources so that local students can realise their potential and develop the skills they need to go on to further study or to find a job.”
