The Federal Government is backing in local tourism with nearly $50,000 in grant funding support for new facilities at the BIG4 Hidden Valley Holiday Park in Berrimah.

Work is complete on new caravan and camping sites, including 55 new powered sites and the conversion of 15 non-powered sites – increasing overall capacity from 231 to 301.

Dozens of new trees and a revitalised grass area also feature as part of the upgrades.

The Commonwealth’s Caravan Park Grants program is providing $10 million for 111 park upgrade projects across Australia.

The program delivers on the Albanese Government's $48 million election commitment to support critical tourism and travel industries - helping to improve accommodation options, deliver better experiences for travellers, and deliver economic benefits for the tourism sector nationally.

Grants were awarded on a competitive basis to eligible park owners with plans for infrastructure upgrades that align with program objectives, with funding provided on a shared investment basis.

BIG4 Hidden Valley Holiday Park’s co-contribution brought the total project value to nearly $100,000.
