$10 MILLION FOR A BRAND NEW COMMUNITY HUB IN PALMERSTON
A re-elected Albanese Labor Government will deliver for Territorians living in Palmerston, with a $10 million investment to build the Zuccoli Library and Community Hall.
Delivered in partnership with the City of Palmerston, who are contributing an additional $3 million, this election commitment would provide a vibrant community hub for learning, social connection and community activities for the rapidly growing local population.
Palmerston is home to around 40,000 Territorians — approximately 15 per cent of the Northern Territory’s total population — and continues to expand. This investment would ensure the community has the facilities it needs to grow sustainably.
From providing modern library resources to hosting local events and programs, the facility will be a cornerstone of community life.
The Zuccoli Library and Community Hall will be designed with accessibility and sustainability in mind, providing a welcoming space for people of all ages.
The project will also support local businesses by driving foot traffic and creating new opportunities for small enterprises.
Federal Labor remains committed to delivering essential infrastructure that supports Territorians now and into the future.
Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in line with Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.
